Position title: Social Work Intern
Carson Borbely (she/her) is a student at the Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work completing her field placement at the GSCC. She is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology: Global Health & Environment and a Minor in Writing. Prior to moving to Madison for her graduate studies, she served professionally as an advocate for immigrants and refugees at Casa Marianella, a shelter in Austin, Texas. Carson is passionate about migration, culture, health, and advocating for LGBT individuals from all backgrounds. In addition to her role at the GSCC, she is a service industry worker, a creative writer, and caretaker to a silly, curious cat named Frankie.
