Dasia Starks

Dasia (She/Her) is an undergraduate senior who is majoring in Social Work. She is also receiving certificates in Gender and Women’s Studies and Native American/Indigenous Studies. She just started working in the GSCC this year for her Social Work field placement. Dasia is from Duluth, Minnesota (about two hours north of Minneapolis), and grew up loving the outdoors and all of its beautiful offerings. She is passionate about comprehensive sex education and women’s rights, with an emphasis on women of color. Her dream job is to become a sex therapist in her own private practice. For now, she enjoys chatting with others and uses college as a way to learn from her peers as well as from classes. Her music taste is all over the place, with her favorite artists being The Weeknd, 5 Seconds of Summer, Sleep Token, and Luke Combs. In her spare time, you can find her at almost any Wisconsin sporting event (her favorite is Women’s Hockey!), karaokeing Hamilton for the 1000000th time, or playing Fortnite for far too long with her friends from back home.
