The GSCC is a partner unit to the Multicultural Student Center. We are pleased to offer complementary space and programs, welcoming to all students, inclusive of race, gender, and sexuality.

LGBTQ+ student orgs
There are many student orgs at UW-Madison with an LGBTQ+ focus.
These include groups like:
- engineering students
- business students
- student athletes
….and many more student-run communities.
Graduate students
Graduate students are welcome at all GSCC programming!
We’d love to have your different perspectives in our discussion groups, or spending time in the office with us as volunteers.
It’s easy to get involved in many of the same ways that undergraduate students can. In addition, the GSCC is proud to host a variety of programs just for graduate students:
- 3×5 research nights
- annual welcome reception
- queer grad writing retreats

Faculty and staff
UW-Madison offers several ways for faculty and staff to get connected to other LGBTQ+ faculty and staff.
- LGBTQ+ Committee is a shared governance committee
- OutPages faculty/staff directory is a netID-protected directory where you can find other faculty and staff with your interest or in your field. It also allows you to share your availability to mentor students who find you.
- UW-Madison LGBT staff/fac is a private, active group on Facebook

Alumni
The Wisconsin Alumni Association includes a Rainbow Affinity Group.
This group aims to:
- Use creative, innovative, and community-suggested programs to assist alumni and students in preserving their diverse cultural values.
- Advance the mission of the Wisconsin Alumni Association and the university by advocating for LGBTQ+ participation, access, and utilization of resources.
Anyone who is a UW-Madison alumni, member of the faculty or staff, or has an interest in UW-Madison may become a member of the alumni council! Find out more at the Rainbow Affinity Group page.

Would you like to get involved with a Campus Center network of LGBTQ and allied alumni? We’re building an alumni network listserv! Please add your contact information to the Campus Center Alumni Network form.
The Campus Center works with the University of Wisconsin Foundation to manage donations, endowments, and other forms of charitable giving.
Donors may create a named endowed fund through an outright gift now, or through a bequest or life income gift, such as a charitable remainder trust. Make a gift directly through the UW Foundation website.

Advocates for Diverse Abilities (ADA)
Diverse & Resilient
A Milwaukee-based organization that aims to eliminate disparities in health between LGBT people and the general population, focusing on mental health, sexual health, partner and community violence, and substance use.
Freedom Inc.
Freedom Inc. is a Black and Hmong, queer-, trans- and women-led anti-violence liberation organization that engages low- to no-income communities of color in Dane County.
GSAFE
An organization that increases the capacity of LGBTQ students, educators, and families to create schools in Wisconsin where all youth can thrive by developing leadership of LGBTQ students, supporting Gay-Straight Alliances, training educational staff, advancing educational justice, and deepening racial, gender, and trans social justice.
GSAFE- Foundations of Leadership
FOL is a dynamic course for MMSD high school students focused on the experiences of students of color with an emphasis on racial justice, LGBTQ issues and social justice.
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) at UW-Madison
NE2SS Two-Spirit Resource Directory
The NorthEast Two-Spirit Society (NE2SS) built a comprehensive resource directory. Check it out for US-based Two-Spirit groups, youth organizations, books, films, and training.
Queerness and disability binder
OutReach
An LGBT community center offering meeting space, advocacy, peer counseling, numerous support groups, an extensive LGBT lending library, volunteer opportunities, and more.
TransParent
A group that supports parents of trans and gender non-conforming children and youth. Check out the link for meeting dates and times.
